A wire is wound on a delivery spool and it is intermittently pulled out to a length necessary for a pin. The pulled-out wire is then windened at selected points by stamping so that its dia. is greater than that of the hole, and it is then notched at a distance equal to the pin length. Then the wire is broken at the notch and it is immediately pressed into a hole formed in a printed circuit board. As the wire has been stamped to a greater dia. than the hole it fits firmly in place.
