Polyalkylpiperidyl-ureas of the formula I IMAGE I in which m is 1-4, X, R2 and R3 are monovalent substituents and R1 is a m-valent radical, can be prepared from the corresponding 4-aminopiperidines by reaction with carbamoyl chlorides. They are outstanding stabilizers for plastics, and especially for polyolefins, to protect them against degradation by the action of light.
