An agricultural machine, such as a mowing-conditioning machine, is provided at its front end and on one of its sides (4) with two adjacent vertical plates (6, 7), one of which is fixed to the structure of the machine, the other plate (7) being rotatably mounted relative to the structure of the machine about a horizontal axis (8) which is orthogonal to the plates (6, 7) and directed transversally relative to the longitudinal direction of the machine. The two plates (6, 7) have adjacent arcuated front edges (6a, 7a) each provided with a series of blade segments (17, 18).
