Wire take-off device for intermittent operation and high degrees of nonuniformity

The invention relates to a motor-driven wire take-off device which is equipped with two compensators and hence allows continuous unwinding from the wire coil despite high degrees of nonuniformity in the demand for wire by the following machine. The compensator devices are connected up to one another in such a way that one compensator only compensates the nonuniformity without exercising control, while, during this process, the second compensator remains inhibited. Only after a limit position is reached is this second compensator released and, in addition to further wire take-off, also brings about a control pulse which changes the continuous take-off speed of the drive. This double-compensator device can operate both with simple take-off drives and with calibrating wire-drawing machines connected in between.
