To control the operation of a dredging in order to obtain the maximum production, it is continuously compares the force f which appears at the level of the device of the maximum foxe dredging and (f) which appears to the maximum concentration. The error signal e which is thus obtained is applied to a control device which defines of the operating conditions of the device of dredging.
