APPARATUS FOR DETECTING DECOMPOSITION PRODUCT IN ELECTRICAL APPARATUS INSULATED BY GAS

PURPOSE:To monitor easily a generating state of a decomposed product of an insulating gas by providing a pair of electrodes packed with an absorbent for absorbing the decomposed product component of the insulating gas in an electrical apparatus insulated by gas and measuring a dielectric characteristic of the absorbent. CONSTITUTION:High-voltage conductors 1 have a disconnection part 1a, and are supported insulatedly by insulating spacers 2 in a tightly closed vessel 3. The insulating gas 4 such as gaseous SF6 is packed in the vessel. An electrode apparatus 7 connected to terminals 6 is provided in a containing part 5 provided protrusively at the outer side of the vessel 3. The absorbent 8a made of porous material is packed between the electrodes 13 of the apparatus 7. A dielectric characteristic measuring part 9 is connected to the terminals 6. The dielectric loss tangent or the electrostatic capacity of the absorbent 8a is measured at the part 9. A bridge in which the apparatus 7 is served as a side is used in the measuring apparatus 9, and the part 9 generates an abnormal signal due to unbalanced output of the bridge.
