PURIFICATION OF MOLYBDENUM OXIDE

摘要

PURPOSE:Molybdenum trioxide is vaporized at a specific temperature in an atmosphere containing a specific amount of moisture and precipitated by cooling to obtain molybdenum trioxide of high purity. CONSTITUTION:Molybdenum trioxide is vaporized in an atmosphere containing more than 10%, preferably more than 20% of moisture in a temperature range from 800-1,100 deg.C and precipitated in the low-temperature region to recover molybdenum trioxide of high-purity which can be used as a starting substance for producing metallkic molybdenum, e.g., by hydrogenation.
