FLOW-RATE MEASURING METHOD OF BULK MATERIAL IN TWO-PHASE FLOWS IN SOLID AND GAS

PURPOSE:To obtain high-level detecting accuracy, by the constitution, wherein the vibration caused by the collision of a bulk material to a vibrating member, which is inserted in a pipe, is detected, and the mass flow rate of the bulk material is obtained based on the correlation with the data, which is obtained in advance. CONSTITUTION:A vibration meter 3 is attached to the side wall of a pipe of a vibrating member 2, which is inserted and arranged in a bulk-material transporting pipe 1. The vibration of the vibration member 2 in a specified frequency band, which is caused by the collision of the bulk material, is directly detected. Relationship between the effective value of the vibration acceleration (a) and a mass flow rate (b) is obtained in advance. The effective value of the vibration acceleration, which is obtained by the actual measurement, is applied to the correlation graph. Then, the mass flow rate can be accurately obtained. Therefore the reliability of the measuring accuracy can be made very high.
