LIQUID-LEAKAGE DETECTING METHOD IN TIGHTLY SEALED LIQUID CONTAINER FOR HOT FILLING

PURPOSE:To enhance the detecting accuracy of liquid leakage,by inputting a content in a hot state, sealing a container, cooling the content, then projecting X rays or light rays to the variable bottom part of the container in the approximately diametrical direction from the outside, and detecting the liquid leakage based on the transmitted amount. CONSTITUTION:At the bottom part of a container 11 with a lid 12, an inner bottom plate 13, which can be deformed and is curved downward, and an outer bottom plate 14 having rigidity and an air hole 16 are attached. At the side surface part of the plate 13, e.g., an X ray generator 18 and an X ray detector 19 are arranged. The voltage of the detector 19 can be measured and displayed. The container 11 is filled with heated liquid, and the lid 12 is tightly closed. When the liquid does not leak with the decrease in temperature, the inside of the container becomes a pressure reduced state and the plate 13 is curved upward. When the liquid leaks, the plate 13 is not deformed, and the voltage of the detector 19 is changed from a predetermined value. Thus the dispersion in the amount of filling and the like does not give effect on the detecting accuracy.
