NOZZLE-CLEANING DEVICE IN MUDDY WATER TESTER

PURPOSE:To enable cleaning a muddy water nozzle without contaminating a sample in a testing vessel, in the titled device for invesigating the endurance or the like of a car part. CONSTITUTION:The pivoting shaft 11 of a shutter 7 is extended beyond a testing vessel 1, and a pinion 12 is fixed to the extending shaft 11. A rack 13 to be engaged with the pinion 12 is connected to the piston rod 15 of an air cylinder 14 attached to the ouside wall of the testing vessel 1. A nozzle is covered with the shutter 7 in a washing step, to inhibit the splash of washing water on a sample. At this time, the water flows downwards along the surface of the shutter 7, and is drained into a muddy water vessel 15. Thus, the nozzle can be washed by the operation of the shutter without contaminating the sample in the testing vessel.
