PURPOSE:To make possible to take out a paper bobbin surely and harmlessly by giving an impression to the outer circumference of the paper bobbin uniformly through the expansion of a rubber ring supplying a compressed air to said rubber ring in holding a paper bobbin when the paper bobbin at the lowest position is taken out. CONSTITUTION:In case of retaining a tapered paper bobbins S piling up in a cylindrical body 1, a lowest paper bobbin S1, and an upper paper bobbin thereof S2 are held with paper bobbin holding units T2 and T1 at a moving side and a fixed side respectively. A compressed air is supplied to a rubber ring 34 for both said units from an apparatus shown by a sketch and the outer circumference of the paper bobbins S1 and S2 are held by the expansion of the rubber ring 34. After holding the paper bobbins S1 and S2, said holding is released by shifting the holding unit 2 on the removal side rotating the removal cylinder 9.
