PURPOSE:To facilitate the operation, heighten the durability and reduce the size, by making it possible to eliminate the unlocked state even if the seat is set in a walk-in state and by simplifying the structure. CONSTITUTION:The seat adjuster causes an upper rail 2 integrated with the seat to slide on a lower rail 1 fixed on the floor. When the back of the seat is turned down forth to set the seat in the walk-in state, a gear 31 is disengaged from an engagement hole 5 and a lever 6 is disengaged. Then, an engagement member 7 is engaged with a bracket 8 to keep the unlocked state. After the back of the seat is returned to the original position, the seat is moved to cause a pin 61 to slide back sidewards from an oblique part 91 of a plate 9 to eliminate the unlocked state.
