Programmer in which the programme cams comprising several programmes set up one after another, are capable of being driven in rotation in a single rotational direction. It comprises a control element 12 whose ramps 22, 23 or 22a, 23a move the selection cam 7 along 21 when it is manually actuated in rotation, respectively in one direction or in the other. This cam 7 is integral in rotation with programme cams 1. In this position, the cam 7 interacts with a first switch controlling the accelerated rotation of this selection cam 7 which thus automatically catches the control element 12. At this moment, the selection cam 7 moves along 8 so as to come up against the control element 12. In this second position, the cam 7 rotationally drives the control element 12 by means of the ramps 22a and 23a of the latter, with the aid of the spring 9 which then prevents any axial displacement between the cam 7 and the control element 12.
