The incinerator comprises a closed hearth (1) topped by a chimney (7). The supply of preheated primary air is provided by inverted-U tubes (29, 30, 31) extending vertically in the combustion chamber (1). This chamber is surrounded by an external casing (17) forming an annular enclosure connected on the one hand with the outside through orifices provided at its lower end (20, 21) and, on the other hand, with the combustion chamber (1) through orifices provided in the wall of the combustion chamber (22, 25), and distributed over the height of the wall so as to ensure supply of secondary air at several levels. An open tube (26) joins the upper part of the annular enclosure (19) to the lower part of the combustion chamber. IMAGE
