COMPRESSION TYPE CONNECTION PIPE FOR OPTICAL COMPOUND OVERHEAD EARTH-WIRE

PURPOSE:To repair only a broken part and facilitate connecting operation by providing a metallic sleeve, a protection tube interposed between a metallic pipe at a terminal of an earth-wire and a strand wire layer, and a sealing part provided between the metallic sleeve and the terminal part of the metallic pipe. CONSTITUTION:OP Units 21 are projected slightly from terminal parts of both- side optical compound earth-wire (OPGW)20 to be connected and the protection sleeve 2 is interposed between the metallic pipe 23 for the OP units at the terminal parts and strand wire layer 30. Then, the metallic pipe 23 is run through a protection collar 4, watertight collar 7, and O ring 10 in order, a heat sealing tape layer 9 is formed on the metallic pipe 23, and the pipe is run through an O ring 11 and a watertight collar 8 and then clamped lastly with a cap nut 12, thereby making sealing complete. Then, the outer periphery of the connection part of them is sheathed with the metallic sleeve 1, and the outer peripheries of OPGWs 20 of sleeve ferrule parts at both sides are wound with spiral molding rods 15 closely; and one terminal is inserted into the metallic sleeve 1 and its outer surface is compressed to complete the connection.
