PURPOSE:To enable mixed air to be securely removed by suction, by a method wherein the pressure inside an outlet header of a low-pressure steam condenser is detected, and a header exhaust solenoid valve communicated to the outlet header side and a solenoid valve for operating an evacuating device communicated to a mixed-air discharging pipe are simultaneously operated. CONSTITUTION:A cooling fan 4 provided on the lower side of a tube nest 3 is controlled by a controlling signal (a) from an automatic inlet pressure controller 5, and an inlet pressure control valve 7 provided in a low-pressure steam supplying pipe 6 is also controlled by a controlling signal (b) from the controller 5. The operating solenoid valve 14 is provided in a piping 13 for an ejector 12, suction-applying chambers 16 are defined in both ends of an inlet header 1 by partition walls 15, a mixed-air discharging port 17 of the chamber 16 and the ejector 12 are communicated to each other by the mixed-air discharging pipe 18, and a header exhaust solenoid valve 19 is provided. A header pressure detecting controller 20 provided in connection with the outlet header 2 opens the valves 14, 19 when it is detected that the pressure inside the header 2 is not higher than a preset pressure.
