Hybridomas for producing antibodies against the Vp 72 protein of the virus are made by (a) intra-peritoneal inoculation of mice of Balb/c strain with the semi-per purified virus; (b) sacrifice of the mice and sepn. of a spleen cell suspension; (c) fusia of these cells with myeloma cells of type P3X63Ag8653 mice; (d) selection of the resulting hybridomas from the unfused cells; (e) cloning and re-cloning the hybridomas; and (f) freezing the resulting hybrid cells with a preserving agent.
