AbstractIn an enzymatic saccharification process, a sugar solu-tion of constant sugar content is obtained by adding to thestarch-containing raw materials, prior to the enzymaticsaccharification step, part of the sugar solution obtainedafter the saccharification step and being separated fromsolid material and having been brought to a higher concen-tration, so that a higher sugar content, in particular withinthe range from 15 to 22% by weight and preferably approxi-mately 20% by weight, can constantly be maintained, indepen-dent of the concentration and quality of the raw materials.
