Aluminum compounds containing organic groups of the formula IMAGE I when R1 and R2 are as hereinafter set forth are disclosed as having activity as antiperspirants. Antiperspirant compositions containing one or more of these compounds as transpiration-inhibiting active ingredients and methods for preparing the compounds are also disclosed.
