Hose, particularly hydraulic pressure hose, in the wall (1) of which a reinforcement, e. g. a reinforcing fabric, is embedded, the reinforcement having at least one electrical measuring wire (3), the ends of which are led outside the wall to electrical connectors (4, 5), characterised in that the resistance of the measuring wire (3) is variable in dependence upon mechanical forces acting upon it.
