PURPOSE:To effectively repair the lining refractories and to prolong the service life thereof by repairing the wear parts of lining refractories of a torpedo ladle car by using a vibrating trowel and repairing materials consisting of monolithic refractories which contains specified amounts of superfine silica powder and fine SiC powder. CONSTITUTION:The repairing materials consisting of monolithic refractories which contains 2-5wt% silica superfine powder and 10-15wt% SiC fine powder are arranged at the worn parts of lining refractories of the torpedo ladle car. The materials are applied and spread down to the desired thickness by the use of the trowel while vibrating by the vibrator. When the trowel is detached from the materials, the vibration is stopped and the repairing of the worn parts is effectively carried out.
