ELECTRIC FAN FUNCTIONING AS WARM AIR HEATER

PURPOSE:To obtain an electric fan which functions as a warm air heater and can be used in the summer and winter by providing an electric heat generating body positioned in an passage and closing and opening the circuit of the electric heat generating body in conjunction with the opening and closing of a shutter. CONSTITUTION:When an electric fan 3 is energized by opening a shutter 5 provided at the back of a frame body 1, the air in a room is drawn from the back face and flows out through the front face guard 2 of the electric fan 3, making it possible to give a strong air blast. On the other hand when the shutter 5 is closed, the air is sucked into an air passage 6 from an air flow inlet opening 9 and led to the back face of the electric fan 3 through a gap 4. This air, therefore, blows out past the front face guard 2 by the electric fan 3. By designing the air passage 6 appropriately it is possible to obtain an air volume which matches the quantity of heat generated from the electric heat generating body 7.
