HYDRAULIC FRACTURING METHOD EMPLOYINGSPECIAL SAND CONTROL TECHNIQUEAbstractA subsurface oil or gas reservoir is hydraulicallyfractured by injecting a fracturing fluid through perforationsin the casing of a well penetrating into such subsurfacereservoir. The fracturing fluid contains a clay stabilizingagent for stabilizing clay particles or fines along the face ofthe resulting formation fracture. A proppant comprising agravel packing sand is injected into the fracture. Oil or gasis then produced from the reservoir through the fracture intothe well.
