Iron derivatives of globin and of acetylglobin endowed with high bioavailability process for their preparation and pharmaceutical formulations

Iron derivatives of globin and of acetylglobin endowed with high bioavailability, containing quantity of iron changing from 2 to 20% in weight, are useful pharmaceutical compositions to treat iron deficency anemia.;The process for obtaining the above mentioned iron derivatives has been carried out through the following phases;a) Preparation of globin starting from red blood cells of animals;b) Preparation of acetylglobin through the acetylation of globin;c) Preparation of iron glucidic dervatives;d) Preparation of iron acetylglobin and of iron globin through the reaction respectively of acetylglobin and globin with iron- glucidic derivatives or with inorganic iron salts.;The products thus obtained have an high solubility at neutral and alkaline pH and, orally administered, increase the basal iron levels in the serum without damaging the gastrointestinal system.
