The guide bar, for cutter chains on chaincutter machines, or similar, has a retaining body, for fastening to a slide, and an end bearing to deflect the chain. On the inside of the carrier plate fastened to the retaining body there is a lubricant channel in cutout form. This is linked with the feed channel in the body and extends to the axis of the deflecting bearing. It is at least partially closed by a small covering plate, combining with its bottom to form a lubricant duct. This opens out at points corresponding to, or opposite, the deflecting bearing.
