PREVENTING DEVICE FOR SNOW ACCRETION AND ICE ACCRETION ON ANTENNA

PURPOSE:To basically prevent snow and ice from accreting on an antenna and to improve the operation efficiency of a system which utilizes the antenna by providing means which continue to scatter water which is higher than freezing temperature uniformly to antenna elements of the antenna. CONSTITUTION:The place where electric influence upon an antenna element array is least and snow and ice melting effect is high is set previously for each array antenna, and spray nozzle parts 1 which supply water to be scattered over the antenna elements are arranged. This nozzle part 1 consists of plural spray nozzles 11, water scattering valves 12, flexible joints 13, and water feed pipes 14A and 14B. This nozzle part 1 is supplied with the water which is higher than the freezing temperature from a feed water tank 5 by a feed water pipe 2 and a pump 3 through feed water pipes 51A-51D. Then the water is scattered over the antenna elements from the nozzle part 1 to prevent snow and ice from accreting on the antenna effectively.
