PURPOSE:To eliminate a hole in a marine work platform for sea water intake pipe, and to prevent the intake pipe from falling, by moving the intake pipe vertically along a leg of the liftable type marine work platform, and supporting the intake pipe by a falling prevention hinge type stopper. CONSTITUTION:A guide 11 is provided throughout along one side of the leg 13 of the liftable type marine work platform 12, and the sea water intake pipe 14 is provided so that it can be moved vertically slong the guide 11 by a crane 15. The sea water intake pipe 14 is provided with a projection 18, and the hinge type stopper 19 is arranged on a deck 12a to abut on the projection 18 thereby the intake pipe 14 is supported. Thus, when the intake pipe 14 is positioned in place in sea water, the hinge type stopper 19 is turned up to release the stopper function, the intake pipe 14 is lowered together with the leg 13 to a proper point, then the stopper 19 is turned down to support the intake pipe 14, and the marine work platform 12 is elevated.
