LIFTING OF LEG OF ELEVATING TYPE MARINE WORKING PLATFORM

PURPOSE:To permit the lifting of the foot of an elevating type marine working platform in stable condition even when the upper end of the leg becomes higher than the lift head of a crane by a method in which a suspension truss is provided on both sides of a leg being erected within the life head of the crane and the leg is lifted by the suspension truss. CONSTITUTION:The lower half of feet is fabricated, together with a working platform, inside a dry dock, and then the assembly is delivered and fixed on the sea. In this case, a suspension truss 15 is attached to the upper 12a on the ground, the upper leg 12a is brought down sideways and delivered to the vicinity of the lower leg by a barge, a hanging cable 17 is brought down from two sets of cranes 14 of a crane ship and connected to both suspension trusses 15 of the upper leg 12a, and the lower part of the upper leg 12a is supported by a cable 18. And, the upper leg 12a is erected by the crane 14 and placed on the lower leg 12a, and both the upper and lower leg are joined together integrally on site.
