AN INSTALLATION FOR CHEMICAL CONVERSIONOF A GAS MIXTURE CONTAINING HYDROGEN AND HYDROCARBONSAbstract of the DisclosureThe installation for chemical conversion of agas mixture containing hydrogen and hydrocarbonscomprises a series of reactors in which the gas mixtureundergoes endothermic reactions at temperatures withinthe range of 350°C to 900°C. A furnace is placed upstreamof each reactor for reheating the gas mixture prior tointroduction into the reactor. The furnaces are equippedwith electric heating resistors which are intended tobe placed in direct contact with the gas mixture as itis introduced into each furnace.
