TITLELIGHT-REFLECTOR TYPE ENCODING METHOD AND THE ENCODERAbstract of the Disclosure:A light-reflector type encoding method whichcomprises emitting light from one end of an optical fiberto a mobile body which moves relatively to said end of theoptical fiber, through an optical lattice disposed at afixed position relatively to said fiber end, receiving thereflected light from at least plural light-reflectivegraduations provided in the light-emitted zone of saidmobile body through the optical lattice, and detecting thereceived reflected light with a photoelectric conversionelement connected to the other end of the optical fiber.The present invention also provides a light-reflective typeencoder suitable for carrying out the encoding method.
