ELECTRICAL HOSE SWIVEL CONNECTORFOR CANISTER VACUUM CLEANERABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA vacuum cleaner having a hose swivelly connected to acanister portion suction inlet. The canister portion includesan electrical power connector adjacent the inlet opening. Thehose is provided with electrical power conducting means. Theswivel connector has a first portion secured to the hose endand a second portion adapted to be removably secured to thecanister housing inlet. The first swivel connector portionis swivelly connected to the second portion. An electricalpower plug is removably mounted to the swivel connector secondportion and a first interlock is provided on the plug and swivelconnector second portion for releasably locking the plug to theswivel connector second portion. A second interlock is providedon the plug and swivel connector first portion for preventingaxial separation of the first and second swivel connector por-tions. Cooperating electrical connectors are provided on theplug and swivel connector first portion for electrically connect-ing the electrical power connector to the electrical power con-ductor with the swivel connector to the electrical power con-ductor with the swivel connector first and second portions inany one of an infinite plurality of different angularly re-lated swivel positions.
