The invention relates to an emptying device for water-flushing tanks. The device comprises a push-button 5, a sealing valve 7 for closing the emptying orifice 2 of the said tank 1, and a connection mechanism arranged between the push-button and the valve. According to the invention, the connection mechanism comprises a rotary member 15 in the form of a sector interacting, on the one hand, with first connection means 16 connected to the push-button 5 and, on the other hand, with second flexible connection means 17 connected to the valve 7 so that a pressure exerted on the said push-button 5 causes the rotary member 15 to pivot, which brings about the concomitant raising of the valve 7, the second connection means 17 being wound or unwound at the periphery of the said rotary member 15.
