SLUMP LOSS REDUCING TYPE ADMIXTURE AND COMPOSITION THEREOF

PURPOSE:To prevent slump loss without reduction of strength and durability of concrete and causing hardening inferiority, by contg. alkali metal salt, etc., of copolymer of specified bicyclic aromatic compd. and unsatd. dicarboxylic anhydride. CONSTITUTION:The admixture reducing slump loss contains the slat of the copolymer of 8-10C bicyclic aromatic compd. (A) with or without substituent, having polymerizable double bond and unsatd. dicarboxylic acid (B) having olefinic double bond. The salt consists of one or more kinds of alkali (earth) metal salt, ammonium salt and amine salt. As component (A), indene and cumarone, and as component (B), maleic anhydride are preferable. The admixture above-mentioned is added to a mixture compound with water and cement, or in addition, fine aggregate or fine- and coarse-aggregate to produce a compsn. The compsn. has high initial flowability and small change in flowability with the passage of time.
