This study is an attempt to detect effects of chemical composition of cement on compressive strength, time of set, and rate of slump loss when a ligno-sulfonic acid type eater-reducing, set-retarding admixture (TfJRA) is used in manufacturing concrete. Such studies are difficult due to the formation of numerous complex hydrates during the cement-water reaction. The addition of another substance to the system, such as a Rater-reducing, set-retarding agent, further complicates an already intricate system. This research attempts
