ACKNOWLEDGE BASE SYSTEM AND NATURAL LANGUAGE UNDERSTANDING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To easily execute the retrieval and registration of acknowledge and information in a natural language by giving a common acknowledge expression substrate to an acknowledge base and a natural language interface. CONSTITUTION:A natural language sentence interpretation device receives a natural language sentence 501 from a conception network browser and returns an interpreted result 505 to the same conception network browser. Here, a vocabulary analyzing part refers to a structure conception file 511, a structure dictionary file 512, a conception name table 522 of a conception network type acknowledge base 513 and executes the analysis. This dictionary 512 is composed of a preposition table 611, etc., and the table 611 stores the peculiar number of general relation in each direction to respective prepositions. Thus, since the table 611 stores the preposition, the acknowledge expression substrate, which is common with the acknowledge base, can be given from the general conception table to the natural language interface.
