PURPOSE:To prevent generation of foggings by incorporating at least one of specific compd. into at least one silver halide emulsion layer and hydrophilic colloidal layer adjacent thereto. CONSTITUTION:At least one of the compd. expressed by the formula I or II is incorporated into at least one silver halide emulsion layer and the hydrophilic colloidal layer adjacent thereto. In the formulas, R1 denotes a hydrogen atom, an amino group, acyl group, acylamino group, aralkyal group, cycloalkyl group, albamoyl group, or mercapto group which may be substd.; R2 denotes an amino group, aralkyl group, mercapto group, alkylthio group, acylthio group or alkoxycarbonyl group which may be substd. R1 and R2 may combine to each other to form a heterocycle. However, there is no case in which R1 and R2 are simultaneously hydrogen groups. The generation of the foggings is thereby prevented.
