CONSTRUCTION METHOD FOR CAISSON AND QUAY WALL MADE UTILIZING IT

PURPOSE:To make it possible to economically executing the construction stated in the title by installing a caisson provided, in its bottom board with a through hole which allows penetration of a foundation pile and a guide pipe which connects to the through hole so that a foundation pile mounted upright on the sea bottom ground can penetrate the caisson. CONSTITUTION:A foundation pile 7 is driven into the sea bottom ground 5 so as to form a foundation rubble-mound 6. A caisson 1 provided with multiple through holes 4 which enable the foundation piles 7 to penetrate through and guide pipes 2 which connect to them is towed by a work boat 14, and the caisson 1 is settled so that each foundation pile penetrates through the guide pipes 2. Further, supporting piles 10 are connected to the top edges of the foundation piles 7 protruded into the caisson 1, so that they can be connected to a foundation 11 of a crane that becomes a structure on the caisson 1. Thus, the necessity to make the mound in large size is eliminated, the cost of ground improvement can be saved, and the construction period can be shortened.
