DRAFT PREVENTIVE CONSTRUCTION METHOD FOR CAISSON QUAY

PURPOSE: To establish a suck-out preventive method for caisson quay, which does not require skillful workers, can be completed through simple works, be embolied so as to suit the gap in a quay wall, allows shortening of the construction term because of no concrete placing process, and permits suppression of the construction costs and improving the economy. ;CONSTITUTION: A sack 3 is made from a synthetic fiber net, for example of nylon, and filled with crushed stones 4, and when a joint opening is generated in a causson embankment 1 at a caisson quay wall, the crushed stones 2 in such netting sacks are stacked in the joint opening so that the stop work is completed. Behind these stacked crushed stones 2, sandbags 5 are stacked, and further behind them, a sheet 6 is laid, behind which a backfill material 7 is deposited.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
