PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide color photographic sensitive material having improved graininess and stability during processing by incorporating a specified coupler and a specified compd. into a silver halide color photographic sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:A coupler expressed by the formula I is incorporated into at least one silver halide emulsion layer of the title sensitive material and a compd. (DSR compd.) capable of liberating a compd. (or precursor) capable of scavenging an oxidized body by reacting with an oxidized body of a developing agent is incorporated into the emulsion layer or into another layer. In the formula I, Z is an atomic group capable of forming a pyrazole ring; X is H or an eliminable group; each R1 and R2 is a substituent. A compd. expressed by the formula II (wherein R1 is CH3, X is Cl; R3 is a group expressed by the formula III) may be usable as coupler expressed by the formula I. A compd. expressed by the formula IV may be usable as DSR compd.
