PURPOSE:To achieve a measurement with ease without requiring labor by arranging a TV camera, a light wave range finder and an image processor. CONSTITUTION:A horizontal angle drive motor 5 and an angle of elevation drive motor 6 are operated properly with a universal head controller 15 to turn a TV camera 1 three-dimensionally in a optional direction. A signal detected with a light wave range finder 3 is outputted to a microcomputer 20 through a light wave range finder controller 13. Moreover, a computer 20 computes coordinates of a target 30 based on a signal from the device 15 and a signal from the device 13 while a distance to the target 30 is measured to hold data thereof. Then, the computer 20 performs a computation to pick up an image alone of the target 30 based on an image data signal from an image processor 11 and produces an output to an electric zoom lens controller 14 based on the results of the computation.
