PURPOSE:To obtain a cultured flatfish having a body color closely similar to that of natural flatfish and to improve the commercial value of clotured flatfish by making a water tank with a water-proofing cloth having a surface sand pattern composed of several colors such as black, white and brown. CONSTITUTION:A polyester cloth or a blended cloth of polyester and natural fiber is preferably used as the base cloth for the objective water tank among synthetic fibers, artificial fibers and natural fibers. Both surfaces of the cloth is laminated with a polyvinyl chloride resin to obtain a water-proofing cloth. The surface of the cloth is printed in 2-8 colors such as mottles of white and black or mottles of greenish brown, white and black. A water tank is produced by using the sand-patterned water-proofing sheet to obtain a culture tank for flatfish.
