The processes employed for the production of a ground-surfacing track which has a track of pile material forming the top, to the underside of which are attached cushioning elements arranged in grid form. To simplify the process of producing the track from a plastic material in paste form, which is hardenable to form an elastomer, accumulations of plastic corresponding to the cushioning elements are produced and are deposited in a grid-shaped arrangement on an endless conveyor belt. Thereafter, a reinforcing web having apertures, and then the underside of the pile material track, are laid on the accumulations of plastic in such a manner that the plastic material projects through the apertures in the reinforcing web and wets the underside of the track of pile material, following which the plastic material is hardened by means of heat treatment and a firm bond is thus produced between the track of pile material, the reinforcing web zand the cushioning elements. …IMAGE…
