摘要
In the transgenic animal built, one or more cells contain a promoter of the gene for the cytosolic PEPCK linked operatively to a non PEPCK gene of interest. Expression of this gene is regulated by changing the components of protein and carbohydrates of the animal's diet or by direct hormonal regulation. The PEPCK promoter is induced by a high concentration of protein and is inhibited by a high concentration of carbohydrate or more directly by cAMP and insulin. The linked gene is expressed essentially only after birth and essentially only in particular tissues. The PEPCK promoter has an extremely high resistance.
