A rubber sheet arrangement comprises two sheets (42 + 44 and 52), which are laid from opposite sides against a strip of steel cords (48, 50). Each of the sheets is composed of a cover sheet (42, 54) of already cured, abrasion-resistant rubber of cover quality (STB) and an intermediate sheet (44, 56) of an uncured rubber compound of core quality (STZ), arranged on the steel cord strips. The lower intermediate plate (44) is designed as a web plate with parallel webs (46), which form between them grooves into which the steel cords (48, 50) are laid. For curing, the sheets (42 + 44 and 52) are clamped between heating plates (40 + 58) and heated. IMAGE
