Into the open upper end of a large container (silo) for dusty material is inserted a hollow body (18) whose upper end is open to atmos., while from the lower end a filter bag (eg 12) descends, after insertion into the upper hollow body end. The upper filter edge is supported against a shaped sealing flange (e.g. 41) into which it can be pressed in sealing engagement by a cap (8) pivotally attached to the edge of the container, and holdable in sealing engagement by an angled clamp. A flange (eg 60) round the hollow body aperture engages the underside of the shaped sealing flange (41). A number of filter bags, individually replaceable when exhausted, are provided in a cylindrical or cuboid silo and each surrounded by a sealing ring. In a pressure plate (7) the cap underside has a number of holes corresp. to the filter bags, each with a peripheral sealing ring. ADVANTAGE - Filter bag replacement is simple and fast.
