The invention relates to a wall-mounted electric lighting device which includes built-in mechanical ventilation producing the surface sweeping of a wall 1 with a flow of air heated by the light source, making it possible to eliminate or avoid condensation of water vapour. The device consists of a closed lighting enclosure 4 acting as an air distribution plenum chamber, including a slit 2 through which the air heated by contact with the electric lightbulb 5 is blown in mechanically by means of an electric motorised fan 3. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for eliminating condensation on windows and reflective glass located in "damp" locations for domestic, commercial and industrial use.
