PURPOSE:To prevent fluctuation in product weight due to deviation of cutting positions by operating a cutting means when the cutting means accompanying a steamed fish-paste cake with each piece of wood at a lower speed than that of the steamed fish-paste cake is located between the pieces of wood. CONSTITUTION:A continuously conveyed steamed fish-paste cake (G) with each piece of wood is accompanied with a cutting means 1 at a lower speed than that of the steamed fish-paste cake (G) with the piece of wood and the cutting means is operated when a cut line parts between the pieces of wood in the steamed fish-paste cake (G) with the piece of wood catch up with the cutting means 1. Thereby, the steamed fish-paste cake is cut. As a result, both end faces of the steamed fish-paste cake are cut in a state of nearly vertical surfaces.
