PURPOSE:To reduce trouble of rice-washing and washing of rice cooker of consumer and accelerate consuming of polished rice by making the polished rice possible to be stored in cooling with packaging polished rice after made to washed rice with washing in water into heat-resistant vessel and sealing with heat-resistant cover. CONSTITUTION:As a storing method of polished rice, a construction in which polished rice is washed in water to make to washed rice C and poured into a heat-resistant vessel 1 (e.g., a bag E enclosing ingredient may be jointly put in), then upper part of the heat-resistant vessel 1 is sealed with a heat-resistant cover 2 (3 is cover of exhausting port) capable of storing in cooling is adopted. Besides, cooking of polished rice is performed as follows: at first, the heat- resistant cover 2 of the heat-resistant vessel 1 is removed and the exhausting port 2a is opened by removing the cover 3 of the exhausting port, then water for boiling is poured into the heat-resistant vessel 1. Thus, the heat-resistant vessel 1 is put in a rice cooker 5 in an electric rice cooker A and water for boiling is poured between the rice cooker 5 and the heat-resistant vessel 1, then boiling is performed.
