The invention relates to digital memory devices using magnetic memory elements. An information storage for a memory device based on cylindrical magnetic domains comprises a magnetic circuit (5) which is located on a non-magnetic sublayer (4) and above which is located a magnetic uniaxial layer (6) on which are located an information storage register (1) and devices (2, 3) magnetically linked with the latter for reading out and generating the cylindrical magnetic domains.
