Mould transport and storage unit for a multi-mould continuous casting plant has a support frame (6) between moulds (3), (4) and (5). and crane (15). The frame (6) is supported on legs (8), (8') located by parts (11) and has a lifting unit (9). Pref. one electro-mechanical lifting unit is provided above each mould. A cross bar of the frame (6) pref. is high enough to hold the moulds clear of the pouring floor and pref. has location registers to restrain the moulds in their raised position.
